Paula Abdul is once again under the spotlight

The famous American Idol judge Paula Abdul has been the centre of the attention lately. We've first heard rumours that she could be addicted to some drugs and now that she had an affair with a former candidate of American Idol. First, about this drugs allegation... It has been made public that she suffers from a painful brain disease which forces her to have a shot of anti-inflammatory weekly. There's nothing else to it. (read article). Second, between you and me, if your name was Corey Clark, and you were taken out of American Idol competition in 2003 when the organisers found out about your judicial past (including charges for assaulting your teenage sister, clashing with police while resisting arrest and bouncing bad checks at a Wal-Mart and a grocery store), what would you do to take advantage of the situation and make a few bucks out of it? Exactly what Clark is doing: he wrote a book about his experience at American Idol and in order to get the media and public attention on that book, he filled it with scandalous revelations such as his affair with celebrity and juge Paula Abdul. In this book, he claims that he had sex with Abdul in the guest room of her house, that she paid some of his expenses and promised to fund his career to the tune of $2 million. Now, you, the reader, who do you think is more credible in this business? The little desperate bum who assaulted his teenage sister and clashed with the police while resisting his arrest? What would interest Paula in this guy in the first place for her to have an affair with him? A spokesperson for Abdul released a statement to syndicated entertainment show “Access Hollywood”: “Paula Abdul will not dignify the false statements made by Corey Clark with a response. Mr. Clark is an admitted liar and opportunist who engages in unlawful activities. He is communicating lies about Paula Abdul in order to generate interest in a book deal.”
